Position Summary
This position serves as the regional headquarters for Mitsui’s Mobility business in Latin America (MML). The primary responsibilities of MML include managing more than ten (10) affiliated companies under its portfolio, providing support and advisory services to enhance their corporate value, maintaining close collaboration with Mitsui’s most important partner, Toyota, and exploring new business opportunities across Latin America.
Based on MML’s functions and roles above, this position is expected to support the organization’s foundation by providing administrative support that ensure progress smoothly from concept to execution and results, enhancing overall project speed and quality by connecting stakeholders, tasks, and information.
The role focuses on administrative support for individual projects handled by each Project Manager, also includes general affairs matters of the company as well as executive secretary duties for the President.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
(*) This position gives support in following tasks described below.
Administration
- To provide support for MML Project Managers with all administrative tasks necessary for project execution, including Shareholder-related activities for affiliated companies, relationship management activities with Toyota and new business development activities and other related tasks, in alignment with his/her direction and supervision.
- To provide support for MML Project Managers with regular reporting and necessary coordination with Mitsui’s headquarters in Japan, in alignment with his/her direction and supervision.
- To coordinate any events/activities required in relation to MML needs.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Executive Secretary
- Secretarial support for the President of MML.
- Support event planning & coordination.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree at least, in the following careers but not limited to them:
- Business Administration
- Law
- Marketing
- Finance and Economics
- Human Resources
Experience
Administrative working experience in Japanese-owned or Japanese-affiliated company is preferred, but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Good communication and reporting skills, both verbally and written, in English, Spanish and Japanese.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, with strong attention to priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to summarize information into concise problem statements.
- Maintains focus and clear thinking under pressure. Enjoys leading in complex, difficult or politically charged situations, and does so effectively.
- Independently sets challenging goals, meets commitments, and tracks performance.
- Actively builds relationships (internal and external) and leverages those relationships to the work.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to perform under Mitsui’s rules and regulations, with a good sense of compliance required.
Language Requirement
Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing, hearing and speaking English, Spanish and Japanese.
